WhatsApp Community Code of Conduct
Bring your curiosity.
- Leave room for others.
This community is for sharing Azure knowledge, celebrating contributions, and helping one another learn. Whether you’re a seasoned Hero or asking your first question, you belong here.
Make the group a good place to learn
-
Be generous with knowledge, not status.
Explain, encourage, and give credit. No question is “too basic,” and expertise is not a license to belittle. -
Challenge ideas, not people.
Disagreement is welcome; personal attacks, insults, harassment, hate speech, threats, and discriminatory or sexualized comments are not. -
Make space in the chat.
Keep posts relevant, avoid flooding the group, and don’t repeatedly tag or message people who haven’t responded. Share promotions or event announcements only when they fit the group or admins have approved them. -
Assume good intent; respond to impact.
Text can travel badly across languages and cultures. If someone flags a problem, pause, listen, and adjust rather than escalating. -
Give credit where it’s due.
Respect other people’s work and intellectual property. Don’t present someone else’s ideas, content, or achievements as your own, or imply Microsoft endorsement where none has been given.
Protect people—and the cloud
-
Treat personal information as personal.
Don’t share someone’s number, identity, photo, private message, or other personal details outside the group without their permission. Don’t add members to other groups or start unsolicited private conversations. -
Keep sensitive technical details out of chat.
Never post passwords, access tokens, keys, customer data, confidential work information, or identifiable production details. Redact screenshots and logs before sharing. If a security issue may expose others to risk, don’t publish exploit steps or secrets here; use an appropriate private reporting channel. -
Remember what WhatsApp can’t promise.
Members may be able to copy or forward messages, and admins can’t guarantee confidentiality. Share only what you’re comfortable having leave the group.
If something goes wrong
-
Contact an admin privately at azureheroesnl@gmail.com. Share what happened, when and where it happened, and any relevant context you’re comfortable providing. Please don’t circulate screenshots or identifying details more widely than needed.
-
Admins will review reports as fairly and discreetly as practical. They may clarify expectations, contact people privately, ask a member to stop or remove a message, restrict participation, or remove someone from the group. Serious or repeated conduct may warrant immediate removal. Actions will be based on the circumstances, with the aim of protecting members and keeping the community useful not settling personal scores.
